SVA-GIRALDI FESTIVAL LLC is happy to present the first annual Out of Hand Competition. We are proud to showcase a platform for student filmmakers, artists, and technologists, allowing them to achieve worldwide recognition.

Out of Hand is open to all students anywhere in the world. All genres of content will be accepted for review.

Each entry received for the Festival must be completed with an official submission form and be submitted through the Festival's web entry process.

Eligibility Requirements:

Festival is open to all students 17 years of age or older

Student status is subject to verification prior to awarding to prizes

Submission commences on September 15, 2008;
All submissions must be received no later than 11:59 pm on June 30, 2009

Finalists will be announced on September 7, 2009

Submissions to Out Of Hand can be shot or created in any format (film, digital video, animation, flash, etc.)

The accepted file types are: JPG, GIF, PNG, DIVX, DAT, ASF, FLV, MPG, WMV, AVI and 3GP

File size must be less than 40MB

The maximum length of submission is 3 minutes

All dialog submissions must be in English or subtitled in English.

By submitting you confirm, as set forth in more detail in our Terms of Use, that you own or have written signed licenses to use all content and material associated with and/or incorporated in your film including but not limited to all copyrights, trademarks, music rights, and privacy/publicity rights (e.g., name, likeness, voice and image of all persons appearing in your film)

Submissions may not contain defamatory material, content that is invasive of any person’s privacy or publicity rights, material which violates any intellectual property, contractual or other legal rights, racial or prejudicial remarks, extensive use of profane or obscene language or gestures, pornography, depiction of real or simulated sexual acts, excessive nudity, extensive violence, or any depiction of illegal acts in a manner that casts them as acceptable. The Festival in its sole and absolute discretion has the right (but not the obligation) to deem any such submissions as inappropriate and warrant immediate elimination from the Website and the Festival
