Can you believe it? You can track your carbon footprint on your cell phone. No really, you can find out how much you are contributing to global warming, but need to have a T-mobile G1 smartphone and download ecorio. Too bad, I don't have one. Have you ever tried using this application?

I'd love to find out if it really works. Especially if you are really able to connect with other environmentally friendly users. I think that's what draws me to this the most, along with the fact I could find out what my carbon footprint is in real time, It's awesome that you can chat with others about their experience using BART at 11pm leaving San Francisco to Fremont or the carpool service. I'm curious to hear about how that works? Do you get a ride from someone in Marin if you are a student at San Francisco State? That would be awesome. You'd end up meeting random cool people who might wanna save the planet.

Anyways, I think I'm just going to have to wait for Ecorio to launch the application for Blackberrys. Then I'll have more to say, but for now I must say it's a pretty cool concept. I just wonder if it really works...Let me know! Someone out there has used this!
